Clasped Weft Fail
Not every project goes as planned. I have an idea in my head for a rug inspired by a picture I saw on my friend Carola's blog. It's a close up of a bee on a thistle.
I've sketched it out multiple times. On paper everything looks fine, but on the loom it's just not right. I've un-woven the piece at least 8 times. I think I'm trying to do too much. Too much detail. Too many clasped wefts. I need to simplify my concept. So it's back to the drawing board again.
This is not my favorite part of the process, but lessons are learned that will make future projects easier and better.
