DESCRIPTION
This unconventional sock knitting pattern is for a trio of “mismatched” socks. The socks have a simple, three color pattern and are worked in the round, from the top down, with Shadow Wrapped short row heels and star toes. The yarns can be carried through the colorwork section. For comfort, rounds begin at the side of the sock so the carried strands are on the side of the foot instead of the sole.
If you are new to Shadow Wrapped short row heels don't worry. Short row heels are a lot faster and easier than you may think. In addition to the pattern, the download also includes a reference card with a photo tutorial of how to make the necessary twin and triplet stitches required for the short row heels.
The directions for this sock pattern are needle neutral. You can knit with either dpns or circular needles and the magic loop method.

My Process
My patterns are designed, not just written down, because I want your project to be a success!
Before knitting begins, I sketch ideas, test yarns, stitch swatches, create charts, do math and consider a variety of skills and construction methods. Each pattern uses standard knitting terminology and notations, is edited for technical accuracy and has a logical, easy-to-read format.
I do the work so you can relax and enjoy the knitting.
