How we use and care for the rag rugs in our home

ALWAYS use with a slip resistant rug gripper.
REGULARLY remove debris by shaking gently outside.
A FEW TIMES A YEAR, handwash by soaking in the bathtub (or machine wash on delicate cycle) with tepid water and no-rinse laundry detergent. Squeeze out excess water, then air dry outside by hanging lengthwise over a rail/clothesline, or laying flat on a drying rack in filtered sun.
OCASSIONALLY clean spills by pre-treating the soiled area with a stain remover before washing.
NEVER put a rag rug in the dryer.

Materials

We warp our looms with new, 100% cotton, carpet warp, usually undyed. The weft in our rag rugs is upcycled textiles purchased at local thrift stores and yard sales or donated from our friends' linen closets. We often weave with bed sheets, t-shirts and sewing fabric remnants.

All of our reclaimed materials are laundered as soon as they arrive at our studio, before we begin weaving. Our handwoven rugs are also washed after the weaving is complete in a process known as wet finishing. This ensures your rag rug is both clean and structurally sound.

Payments

Your payment information is securely processed through Shopify Payments. As a seller, we never have access to your credit card information.

Privacy

We hate spam just as much as you. Your personal information such as name, address and email address is only used to process orders. We DO NOT use creepy tracking, like Google Analytics. You will not be added to our email list unless you choose to subscribe. We will never sell your information to a third party.

Refunds and Returns

We hope you are 100% satisfied when you purchase one of our handwoven items. We try our best to accurately describe and capture the colors of our photographed items. However, we understand there can be differences between the digitally displayed and actual colors.

Please contact us before returning any item. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of receiving your item. Typically we will refund the purchase price minus our shipping costs after we receive the item in its original packaging as long as it is in unused condition with all of the original tags and labels.

Re-weaving Service

Our handwoven rugs are quite sturdy and with proper care and normal use they should last decades. However, life happens. Should your rug experience an unexpected accident, we may be able to re-weave it if there isn't excessive damage to the weft.

Please contact us for information about returning your original rug. In most cases we will re-weave it at no additional cost as long as you pay for shipping each way.

Shipping

At this time we are only able to ship our handwoven items via USPS to addresses within the United States. Typically, orders placed before 3:00 p.m. are shipped the next business day. We currently offer free shipping on all rug orders.

Taxes

If you live in the great state of Alabama, where our business is located, sales tax will be added to your purchase price.
