Grandpa's Loom

Meet Ukki! Ukki is my rug loom. She was built by my grandpa. I like to think he built her just for me, but he probably didn't realize it as he was collecting materials and piecing her together.

My grandpa was a rug weaver and he sparked my interest in fiber arts and desire to learn how to weave (again, without ever knowing it). Now I work with Ukki to create durable, sustainable and artistic rugs giving tattered and discarded textiles a beautiful new life.
